Conservation Committee
Chairs: Christy Noll, Mark Jacobs, & Jack Sutton
The Conservation Committee promotes the protection and conservation of natural resources within the Ohio River ecosystem by:
Identifying and prioritizing natural ecosystems for focused protection and potential public access
Promoting local conservation education
Identifying funding opportunities for natural resource protection along the Ohio River corridor in the ORW work area
Tourism Committee
Chairs: Mary Allen, Noelle Szydlyk, & Cassandra Hurst
The Tourism Committee is fostering synergy around a collective vision to brand our corridor as a regional and national destination for outdoor enthusiasts. It serves as a forum for folks from organizations such as tourism attractions, destination marketing organizations, local governments, and main street associations along the river.
Clean Ohio River Committee
The Clean Ohio River Committee facilitates and promotes River Sweep events throughout our corridor. Led by ORSANCO, River Sweep events are litter clean-ups along waterway shorelines.
Chair: Annette Shumard
History & Heritage Committee
The History & Heritage Committee supports the research and delivery of historical resources. It maintains relationships with national and regional groups interested in Ohio River history and heritage, especially ORVILLE (the Ohio River Valley Innovation Library and Learning Engagement project). All are welcome - members do not need to be professional practitioners to join.
