Start the season off with a refresher course to sharpen your paddling skills. Each session will last 3 hours and include on-land and on-water instruction by trainers certified by the American Canoe Association. Ideal for novice paddlers - great way to refine your boat handing skills even if you have been paddling for a while!
Sessions will begin at 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Hotdogs and soft drinks will be available. You can bring your own boat and equipment or use canoes and kayaks provided at no additional cost. Cost for adults is $20 per session. Children and teens under 18 are just $10. On line registration on our website will be open in late January. There will be an additional $1.00 parking pass charge (unless you already have a 2007 season HCPD auto pass sticker). Special thanks to the Hamilton County Park District for hosting this program and organizing the logistics. Thanks as well to the Miami Group of the Sierra Club and the Ohio-Pennsylvania Divison of the American Canoe Association for providing the expert voluteer instructors.
