Summer Kayak Course We offer a nine week instructional class for kayaking. Beginner to advanced kayakers will be able to learn develop and perfect skills necessary to feel comfortable paddling flatwater, downriver, and playboating. The class will be held Monday nights from 6 pm-8 pm, half will be held at McKie Center Pool, and the others on the Little Miami and Great Miami Rivers. The cost is $100 if you need to use our boats and equipment, and $75 if you have your own boat. Our class covers everything from basic strokes to rolls and advanced play moves, we teach in whitewater boats. The class will run from June 9th- August 11th.

ON RIVER Class June 2nd 2008
This class will cover the ins and outs of river running and reading as well as some play moves. The class will run from 5 PM till dark, and will meet at the Kelly's Nature Preserve on the Little Miami River. The class is $10 if you have your own equipment and $15 if you need to use our boat and equipment.

Morgan's 27th Annual Little Miami Triathlon Series

Morgan's Little Miami Triathlon Series is the largest Triathlon of it's type in the United States The Triathlons draw over one thousand participants for each event from over 25 states.
Morgan's Little Miami Triathlon is comprised of a 6 mile canoe, 5.5 mile run, and an 18 mile bike race in that order The Triathlon is a two person team competition (each team is comprised of 2 people).
Morgan's is the oldest Triathlon in the United States being modeled one year after the first Iron Man Triathlon in Kona, Hawaii in 1979 The 2004 Sponsors included: Subaru, Oakleaf Homes, Neihaus Financial Services, City Dash, Oakley Cycles, Rural Metro Ambulance, Chip Away Water, Lebanon Chamber of Commerce, Morgan's Livery, Ohio Historical Foundation and other contributors.
The Triathlons benefit the Cincinnati Association for the Blind by sponsoring an annual guided raft tour and dinner. It also benefits various Boy Scout Troops of the area.

Both the Sprint and the Olympic Distance races will traverse some of Ohio's beautiful scenery in historic Cincinnati and along the mighty Ohio River. After a downstream swim in the Ohio River, triathletes will bike on completely closed roads offering spectacular views of the Cincinnati skyline and the Ohio River. After a run along the shaded banks of the Ohio River athletes will arrive at the gala finish celebration at Yeatman's Cove in downtown Cincinnati.

Indiana's Largest Canoe Race
Historic canoe races return to the Whitewater Valley!
From 1962 until 1990, annual canoe races were held on the Whitewater River, with winners that included Gold Medal Olympians. In 2006, the races return in a two day festival: Canoefest.
Canoefest features canoe racing for both the experienced canoer, and the recreational novice, as well as a footrace and biathlon. You can race in a canoe for as little as $15, boat included!
On the festival side, Canoefest will offer not only musical entertainment and great food, but a contest to decide who has the best fried chicken in a 500 mile radius!

Canoe and Kayak Races on the Great Miami River from West Carrollton to Miamisburg, Demonstrations and Exhibits
The first race starts at 9:00 a.m. in West Carrollton
All races finish in Downtown Miamisburg (at the site of the future riverfront park). Featuring competitive one-person and two-person canoe and kayak races along this scenic 5.5 mile stretch of the Great Miami River. Watch a fun celebrity race plus have an opportunity to try out different boats after the races. Booths will be set up so you can learn more about the increasingly popular sport of paddling, river safety, and recreational opportunities in the area.
